The partnership of Honda Motocorp and Harley Davidson was announced last year and the collaboration became Hero-Harley. During the partnership of these companies, many questions came out and sharing about the scope and objectives of all this partnership. But now, many things are getting clear because the Hero MotoCorp has cleared that the partnered company is planning to launch twin model bikes in a middleweight. This partnership will be similar to BMW-TVS and that’s created the Apache RR 310 and BMW G 310 R in the motorbike market. So, becoming a partnership of Hero-Harley, Hondo Motocorp is controlling the distribution, sales, and other services of another company, Harley Davidson. Along with this, the Hero Motocorp will create middle-capacity bikes for Harley.
The Rebadged version of the Harley Davidson will be developed by the Hero Motocorp. Many models will be created for an affordable range, if compared with Harley models, the upcoming developed models will be available in affordable prices. Now, it is expected that the twin model has shared its hardware, engines, and chassis along with many details.
New Challenges For Royal Enfield:
Well, some models of the Harley Davidson come with an engine capacity of between 500cc to 900cc. While these models will be upgraded and come with an engine capacity of between 350cc to 400cc motorcycles. In India, this kind of engine was occupied by Royal Enfield and commands 90% of the Indian market. Now, Hero will launch its new models in the competition of the Royal Enfield models. The production of these models is underway and the launching and revealing date of these models is not cleared yet, said Hero Motocorp CFO, Niranjan Gupta.
With the support of Harley Davidson, Hero Motocop will get great success in the middleweight bikes in the Indian market. Also, the Hondo CB350 will get more production every next month. While the hard-core fans of Royal Enfield will not attract by these models. Now, the developers are also thinking about bringing new things into these models.
For many years, the Hero Motocorp stayed a competitor in the Indian market but the dream of creating and selling some best and premium bikes in India is not finished yet. We can give an example by mentioning Hero Karizma ZMR 225cc, where the model was being shut down due to the lack of order and sales in 2019. But, Hero also launched some extremely awesome bikes like Xpulse 200, 200T, and 200S. These models increase the sales of the company but the company also wants to increase more its sales.
