Hero MotoCorp Ltd, Indias largest two wheeler manufacturer launched its first 125cc scooter named ‘Destini 125’ on 22nd October 2018. The scooter was first showcased at Auto Expo 2018 as Duet 125, but Hero MotoCorp decided to rename it the ‘Hero Destini 125’, it seems to be like that the Destini 125 is an upgraded version of 110cc scooter Duet.
The destiny 125 was designed at Company’s centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. The body structure and the styling are all new with some smart features too. The engine is all new and more powerful than the 110cc scooter. Destini 125 is also incorporated with new i3S technology for better fuel efficiency.
Hero MotoCorp forays into 125-cc scooter segment with Destini 125
- Design and Styling
Based on Duet 110 the panels and exterior styling is all new. It comes with the metal body with bold premium Chrome, new body colour mirrors, side chrome garnishes, dual tone seat colour and curvier body panel. Destini 125 is going to be available at 4 metallic colours – Noble Red, Panther Black, Chestnut Bronze and Pearl Silver White.
- Hero MotoCorp i3S Technology
Destini 125 is the first scooter to ever have a smart technology i3S (idle-start-stop-system) by Hero MotoCorp. This technology will help in enhancing the fuel efficiency.
- Smart Features and Equipment’s
Destini 125 comes with smart features and equipment’s such as digital analogue speedometer, service due reminder, Mobile charging port, pass switch, remote key opening and external fuel filling.
- Upgraded Engine
Destini 125 is powered by new 124.6cc single cylinder engine which produces 8.8PS at 7500rpm and 10.2Nm at 5000rpm. The engine allows for a top speed of 85 Kmph. Hero MotoCorp claims that the engine has higher power than the 110cc scooter, 17 per cent higher torque and 9 per cent higher power.

Destini 125 will find many competitors in its class, one of them will be the best seller Honda Activia and others are Honda Grazia, Suzuki Access 125, Vespa VX and TVS NTorq 125. Destini 125 is marketed as a family oriented scooter rather than targeting specific group such as youngsters and hence gets a simple design with softer lines and curves. The scooter is going to be available in two varients:
- One is Destini 125 LX which comprises of Rs 54650 and
- The other is Destini 125 VX which comprises of Rs 57500 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
