Hyderabad woman caught carrying 2 kg gold in her underwear at Delhi Airport

On Monday, the security officials at IGI Airport arrested a woman passenger travelling from Dubai to New Delhi after they detected gold bars worth Rs. 64,38,960 from her possession.

The accused woman identified as Farhat Unnisa. She was arrested on Monday by the Air Intelligence Unit officers.

The AIU in a statement said that on the intervening night of 21st August and 22nd August, on suspicion, officers intercepted a lady passenger who is a resident of Hyderabad, after she disembarked from a Jet Airways flight from Dubai.

In further statement, the AIU said that they recovered gold bars weighing two kilograms and 160 grams, on examination Farhat Unnisa.

The Air Intelligence Unit informed that the lady passenger had hidden the biscuits of gold inside the inner garments worn by the passenger.

The lady passenger was arrested and the biscuits of gold were promptly seized.

She has been arrested and further investigations are underway.
