India should not play against Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup, said by CCI secretary

On Sunday, Cricket Club of India (CCI) secretary Suresh Bafna said that India should not play contrary to Pakistan in the approaching World Cup. Since the terror attack in Pulwama, where at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred on Thursday, there is not any official statement came regarding the attack by the Pakistan Prime Minister.

Suresh Bafna said that in the meantime Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has not come out cooperatively about the attack in Kashmir; it displays that they are responsible somewhere at some extent.

As per Suresh Bafna, “We condemn the terror activities carried out against our army and CRPF personnel. Though CCI is a sporting association but nation comes first even before sports.”

The 12th edition of World Cup is going to be conducted in this year only at England and Wales. The tournament is scheduled to be commencing from May 30 to July 14. The first match is going to be held at The Oval cricket stadium in London while team India is scheduled to play off against Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford. The final match of the tournament will be held at Lord’s cricket stadium in London.

In the 2019 world cup there are total numbers of ten teams which are going to contend with each other in order to move on to next following stages. The teams participating the coming world cup tournament is India, England, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and West Indies.

Suresh Bafna added in his statement, “He (Imran Khan) should respond. He is the Prime Minister and if he believes that Pakistan has no role to play in the attack then why is he not coming out openly. He should come out openly. People should know the truth. He is not coming out openly which means that there are Stains in their folds”.

Soon after the terror attack, the CCI had enclosed the depiction of Imran Khan at their Brabourne stadium headquarters in Mumbai. The secretary, Suresh Bafna said that this step was their method of condemning the cruel attack on the country’s security personnel.

He also said on this act, “We called a meeting on the very next day of the attack and to condemn the attack, we decided to cover the photo. We”ll be deciding soon how to remove the photo”.

Pulwama terror attack is one of the deadliest attacks in decades on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. In this attack at least 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives. This incident happen when a suicide bomber runs into his car with the bus carrying the Indian paramilitary force and the bomber car was carrying explosive near to 300 kg.

Immediately after the attack, Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the attack. There were total number of 2500 CRPF in the convoy and the vehicle that was attacked with the explosive SUV belongs to the 76th battalion of the force. This incident has shocked all the people in India and everyone is in aggression and wants the justice as soon as possible. In the meantime the investigation is going on by the top teams in India.
