The Indian u-18 Hockey team has won the crown of the U-18 Men’s Asia Cup on Friday by thrashing the Bangladesh team in the final by 5-4. The match was a cracker of a match that went through the last minute of the match. Before the last minute, the match was heading for a draw, but India strikes and won the trophy.
India was quick to get the led withing the first half hour of the match as they got the penalty corner in the 6th minute itself. Although, Bangladesh soon counterattacked and came back strongly.
But, men in blue continued their domination and kept the ball in their procession throughout the game. The moment came for the India when the score was tied for 4-4 as a solid counter attack led Abhishek in the box and his deflection took the India to a historic victory.
The man of the match was awarded to Hardik Singh and the Pankaj Kumar Rajak was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Well, this win is a historic win for India and wishes are pouring from all corner of the India as various political leader congratulated the U 18 Hockey team for this amazing victory.
