India vs Bangladesh Test: Likely to Be attended by Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina

There’s a possibility if everything goes according to the plan, the Prime Ministers of the two countrie might possibly be attending the Kolkata Test between India and Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina have been invited for the Test which id going to be played at the Eden Gardens from November 22 to 26.

According to some sources who have told IANS that the invites have been sent to both the Prime Ministers by the Cricket Association o

f Bengal (CAB) in order to grace the significant event when Bangladesh play their first Test at the historic ground in the City of Joy. An approval is expected to arrive soon.

From the previous occasions, the association is also known to take this cricket celebration to the next level. Back in the year 2016 World T20, while hosting the India-Pakistan encounter, Amitabh Bachchan was invited at that event in order to be a part of the monumental occasion as well as also to sing the Indian national anthem.

Not only this but also the former Pakistan captain who is now the current Prime Minister of Pakistan,  Imran Khan, was also in attendance for the game.

And now as we know that with the CAB President Sourav Ganguly taking over the control of the BCCI (for the next 10 months) there might be great chances to be more surprises in store for the cricket crazy people of the city.

The previous time a cricket match remarkably saw such a high-profile attendance on the semi-final of the 2011 World Cup which was held in Mohali when India played Pakistan. The game was also closely watched by then India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh along with his Pakistan counterpart Yousaf Raza Gilani among various other representatives from both the countries.

On the other hand, the second Test of the two-Test series is also going to be the time when the Jagmohan Dalmiya Memorial Lecture is going to be held and it will also be in all possibility that Ganguly will be the speaker on the occasion.

Apart from this, the state-of-the-art indoor training facility that is being assembled at the Eden Gardens is also likely to be inaugurated for the duration of the second Test to be held between India and Bangladesh.
