And, in between this, the bad news is coming out that New Zealand’s skipper and their premier batsman Kane Williamson is sick and he has skipped the training session on Thursday.

According to the sources, Kane Williamson is down with the bug and he decided to stay in the hotel room instead of getting on the ground at Eden Garden for the net session.

With a day to go for the second test, it will be a headache for the New Zeland think tank as Williamson is one of the classy batsmen of era along with Kohli, Root, Steven Smith and if he would fail to get paid up in the second test then it will be a big blow for Kiwi as Williamson was seen comfortable against the spin twins of India.

Meanwhile, New Zeland has lost their three players due to injury concern starting with Tim Southee ruled out of test series, Mark Craig is ruled out of India series and recently, all-rounder James Neesham is injured his hip during a practice session and he is also been ruled out of Test series.

With these injuries, New Zeland has lost their one premier fast bowler, an off spinner and a quality fast bowling all rounder. Meanwhile, the regular opener Tom Latham has told media wing that ” Kane was feeling a little bit down today, but I am sure he would give his 100 percent to be able for the second test.”

Well, New Zealand fans and team management will pray and hope that their Captain will get well before the 2nd test.
