Indian Men & Women Cricket Team will Tour New Zealand in January 2019

Well, reports are claiming that India’s Men or Women team will be representing our country in the first month of 2019. Yes! You are reading it right, both the men and women Cricket team will against New Zealand in their own country in this upcoming January. Some reports are coming that the tour will include a five-match ODI series that starts on January 23 and a three-match T20I series that starts on February 6.

Some reports are claiming that the final T20I will be played on February 10. The series will be following India’s full tour of Australia. Reports are coming that India’s women’s team will also play New Zealand in three ICC Women’s Championship fixtures that help to identify seven direct qualifiers for the 2021 Women’s World Cup to be held in New Zealand. “We think it’s another strong schedule in which we’ve continued the philosophy of taking international cricket to some of our most popular boutique grounds over the school holiday period,” NZC Chief Operating Officer Anthony Crummy said in a press release.

1st ODI – January 23

2nd ODI – January 26

3rd ODI – January 28

4th ODI – January 31

5th ODI – February 3

 

1st T20I – February 6

2nd T20I – February 8

3rd T20I – February 10

 

Women:

1st ODI – January 24

2nd ODI – January 29

3rd ODI – February 1

 

1st T20I – February 6

2nd T20I – February 8

Also, the sources are indicating that the ODI will be played in Napier and that will be followed by two matches in Mount Maunganui, one more in Hamilton and the final ODI in Wellington. Also, the officials are saying that the first T20I will also be played in the New Zealand capital and the second T20I is the only being held in Auckland and the series will move to Hamilton once again for the final T20I.

Also, the reports are suggesting that the rest of the T20 matches will start at 8 pm local time (1.30 pm IST), the Auckland T20I will start an hour earlier. The ODI and T20I series are part of a packed summer of international cricket for New Zealand. You all can say that this whole series is going to be excited for sure and you’ll love it.
