International Day for the Abolition of Slavery 2018: 40.3 million people are in modern slavery

This Year’s International Day for the Abolition of Slavery is on 2, December 2018. You all should know that Slavery is a big problem and forced slavery is really a bad issue for everyone. Some of you might know that Slavery is not merely a historical relic. Also, you all should know that the International Labour Organisation has released a notification that more than 40 million people worldwide are victims of modern slavery.

Yes! You are reading it right, modern slavery is not defined in law and it is quite smart because the people who are using this type of forced slavery are smart. Some of you might want to know that an umbrella term covering practices such as forced labor, debt bondage, forced marriage, and human trafficking. It isn’t easy to leave this whole problem because if someone is stuck in slavery then you can’t refuse or leave because of threats, violence, coercion, deception, and/or abuse of power.

Some of you might know that 150 million kids below their working age are being abused under the forced slavery. Also, this whole data is very dangerous and shocking because it accounting for almost one in ten children around the world. We aren’t sure that what we all as a person doing for this because we see these things happening in front of our eyes and we do nothing about it.

You all should know that the 40.3 million people are in modern slavery. Also, it includes 24.9 people who are forced into the laboring and 15.4 million in a forced marriage.

Yes! Also, things are very bad and don’t go to help anyone. A report is claiming that nearly 5.4 victims of modern slavery for every 1,000 people in the world. Also, the worst thing is that 1 in 4 victims of modern slavery are children.
