IPL 8 Qualifier Team Matches Details 

The race to the final four for the 2015 IPL has never been this exciting in the tournament’s entire history, as it wasn’t until the final day that the teams were decided. Now that we know who is going to compete in the playoffs stage, let us take a look at how it works and from where you can get the tickets for these thrilling matches.

The playoffs stage is divided in three parts – Qualifier 1, Eliminator and Qualifier 2.

The Qualifier 1, to be played on Tuesday, May 19th, will feature the top two teams – Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, battling it out for a place in the final. This match will be played in the Mumbai Indian’s home turf, in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The winner of this match will proceed directly to the final, while the loser here will have one more opportunity to make amends by playing in the Qualifier 2.

The Eliminator, which will take place the very next day on Wednesday evening, will see the third and fourth placed team – Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, go in a fierce clash to earn themselves a chance to play in the final match. This game will be hosted by the MCA Stadium in Pune, and the winner of this match will proceed to the Qualifier 2, while the loser gets eliminated.

The Qualifier 2, which will be played on Friday evening in the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi, will have the loser of Qualifier 1 and the Winner of the Eliminator, fighting for the place in the final.
