On Friday, the Indian Railways(IR) announced that Indian Railway will start Aadhaar based Ticketing system soon. So, IR introduced an app update to the online booking tickets for the online ticketing system. This step is taken for the customers’ benefit because customers can book tickets online simpler and safer.
In order to new move in view of identity security, the Indian Railways is going to introduce Aadhaar based ticketing system soon across the country. They can block bulk tickets booking and also stop any sort of impersonation. This step is taken by the IR because to put a complete stop to some fraudulent online ticket booking.
Union Railway Minister – Suresh Prabhu, on Thursday, unveiled the new business plan 2017-2018. The Indian railways are planning to introduce over 1000 automatic ticket vending machines all over the country for the same. The IR also plans to install more than 6000 points of sale machines in a move to promote cashless transactions.
A senior Railway Ministry official said that they are in the process of preparing software for the same reason. He said that Aadhaar number will be required for one-time registration at the IRCTC ticketing site. The step is aimed at eliminating touts from registering with fake identities.
The new business plan is looking at starting new trains for tourists. As per report that these would connect various hill stations to increase the passenger comfort. The journey of the passengers is more pleasurable as there would be improved catering service and amenities.
