James Hornes died on Monday in a plane crash. He was 61. The accident occurred in a remote area 60 miles north of Santa Barbara. The crash had ignited a one-acre brush fire and no survivors were found at the crash site. It is yet-to-be known whether Horner was flying the plane as the pilot has not been identified. The accident is still under investigation.

James Roy Horner was an American composer, conductor and orchestrator of film music. He was known for the integration of choral and electronic elements in many of his film scores, and for frequent use of Celtic musical elements.
James Hornes the consummate film composer known for his heart-tugging soulful score for titanic “My Heart Will Go On” and for this he sold 27 million copies worldwide. He had also doen some mind blowing work for Field of Dreams, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams, House of Sand and Fog, An American Tail, Avtar, among several others. for which he won two Academy Awards.
He earned 10 Oscar nominations for best scores. Besides, Oscars he bagged many other prestigious projects.
