Recently, a report is coming from Reliance company that Reliance Jio is now working on the “low-cost” laptop called “JioBook”. The upcoming laptop is mainly based on a forked Android build that could look like JioOS. The firmware could come with some Jio Apps. According to the reports of XDA, the laptop will be unveiled in the first half of the year till July. Also, the laptop will come with 4G connectivity including Snapdragon 665 Processor that could be inside. The company will provide its JioOS to reduce the price of the product. However, the official news is not revealed by the company.
Back in 2018, it was rumored that the company was working on Jio’s laptop. The laptop could come last year but, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some official details are also announced by the company itself to attract customers towards the product. More updates related to the JioBook will be updated here when more information will out.
According to the reports, the company is partnering with a Chinese Bluebank Communication Technology for creating a JioBook. Also, the company has already developed and launched the Jiophone product among customers. According to the information, the development of the product was started in September, last year and expected to launch this year. While the product will reach the Product Validation Test Age by the mid of April.
JioBook Specification and Features (Expected):-
If we talk about the specification of the product so, the reports say that the upcoming device will have a display of 1,366×768 pixels resolution and Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, including Snapdragon X12 4G modem. The product has tested from many recurrences and one of its models has 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 32GB internal storage and one more model comes with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB storage.
The JioBook could come with connectivity options that come with a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Also, it has a Qualcomm audio chip and a three-axis accelerometer. Jio offers some Apps like JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages on the Laptop. It includes such as Microsoft Apps like Microsoft Teams, Edges, and Office.
The details related to the price and product availability are not revealed yet. But, we can expect that the laptop will come under the expectation and a budget. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for laptops has increased in global markets as people are working from home and following some rules. Other laptop companies have increased the growth of the products.
