JioMart app now on Google Play store

After a long wait, Reliance has finally rolled out its official e-commerce retail platform i.e., JioMart, after its announcement was done a few months ago. Soon after months of testing, the JioMart app has been finally released for the Android and iPhone users by the Reliance.

Earlier, this e-commerce platform had been made available to the users via an official website but now, the good news is that it can be downloaded through Google Play Store as well as Apple App Store.

For those who are not much aware of JioMart, it is the latest introduction of the retail platforms into the e-commerce space by the Reliance Company. The main objective of this platform is to help customers to get connected with the local Kirana stores that are located in their nearby areas. It was also announced earlier that the app will connect with WhatsApp in order to provide easier communication between the customer as well as the seller.

As of now, JioMart only deals with grocery and food items but Ambani in his announcement made the announcement regarding expanding JioMart dealings from grocery to electronics, fashion, pharmaceutical, and healthcare categories.

Just like many other e-commerce platforms available in the market, JioMart will help the customers to get benefits like free home delivery and no minimum order value. Furthermore, the app also supports many payment options like Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, among many others. The best part about this app is that you do not need to be a Jio customer in order to get access to JioMart.

RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani made the announcement regarding the accessibility of the platform in beta mode. He also announced that it is going to be available in 200 cities across the country. In addition to his announcement, he further said that a total of 2,50,000 transactions has been handled by JioMart every day since the commencement of the pilot program.

At the company’s 43rd AGM, he said that JioMart is focusing on mounting its geographical reach along with its delivery capabilities. Other than grocery, JioMart will expand to cover electronics, fashion, pharmaceutical as well as healthcare in the upcoming days. In addition to that JioMart and WhatsApp are going to be working closely for creating progress and more development opportunities for the small merchants and Kirana shops as well. On the JioMart platform, Kirana shops are going to stay connected as well as transact with their consumers, enabled by a multifunctional POS. As per to the company claims, JioMart has the potential to help Kirana stores to grow their business and earnings as well.
