On Sunday morning, 27th June 2021, the son of the former president of the Argentine Polo Association, Justo Novillo Astrada took his last breath at the young age of 22. It has been reported that Justo was driving his VW Gol in the region of Solis when his car crashed with a bus at Route 8, and both the car and the bus immediately caught fire and within a fraction of seconds both the vehicles turned into ashes. This passing of the polo players has completely devastated the whole Astrada family, as no, even in their wildest nightmare would have ever thought of losing their beloved child at such a young age.
It has been reported that the place where the car crash took place is hardly 11 kilometres from San Antonio de Areco. Justo also has a twin named, Cruz along with his other two brothers, named, Javier and Miguel. His father, Eduardo Novello Estrada was one of the former polo players and also served as the president of the Argentina Polo Association (AAP) between 2017 to May 2021, described his son as a free-spirit person who loved to explore nature.
Justo was born on 28th April 1999 and learned to play Polo Handicap, however, unlike his twin, Cruz, he never actively participated in any particular polo tournament. Cruz on the other hand played the La Auagada Championship last year who is a 4-goal rating, meanwhile, Justo had a 1-goal rating in the polo handicap. Cruz has also played in the final of the Argentine Republic cup along with his father this year in the month of April.
One of the close friends of Justo name unknown said that whenever he used to look at the twins, she would always get confused, until one day she discovered a fact about Justo. She told that Justo used to have a little fist tattoo. The current president of AAP, Delfin Urnaga, also described, Justo as a free spirit. While reminiscing the past, Delfin further added that whenever they would go fishing, he was always scared of Bichas, however, Justo would simply grab it from his hands and would act as if nothing had happened.
Well, Deflin is certainly right, as one Justo was alive he would most probably like to spend his time with his friends near the Calchaqui Valley and would love to spend his nights living in the confined farms, building thatched roofs, doing fishing and cooking them on stoves on the full moon nights. In fact, the Instagram profile of the late polo players clearly reveals that he was a nature-lover, who love to remain in the embrace of nature, exploring it and feeling a connection with it. Though, Justo is not anymore, is free-spirit and his care-free attitude will always be remembered. May his soul rest in peace.
