The Baloch Students Organisation chairperson, Karima Baloch addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as her brother on Friday. Karima Baloch urged him to be the voice of Baloch genocide, human rights violations and war crimes at international forums.
Taking to Twitter, Karima Baloch shared a video of hers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in which she said: “On this day I have come to you. I would like to say that we consider you as our brother. And we expect that you become the voice of Baloch genocide, human rights violations and war crimes in Balochistan in international forums and become the voice of those sisters whose brothers are missing or killed by the Pakistani army.”

Prime Minister Modi had supported freedom for Balochistan, Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir(PoK) in his Independence Day speech on Monday.
In a first for any Prime Minister in an 15th August address, PM Modi referred to human rights abuses in these areas.
In his I-Day speech, PM Modi said that The world is watching. People of Balochistan, Gilgit, Baltistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir have thanked me a lot in the past few days. I am grateful to them.
