New Delhi: In wake of Kashmir violence, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has canceled the US trip which start from 7 July. Now he will go in the month of September for US trip.
The monsoon session of Parliament will start from 18 July. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will brief in the Parliament on the Kashmir violence.
An official told media that a decision was taken yesterday to postpone the visit to US. The J&K situation is being closely monitored by the home minister. He also needs to be present in Parliament to take member’s queries on terrorist Burhan Wani’s killing. The violence outbroke which left more than two dozen dead and also the Pampore ambush that killed 8 CRPF personnel earlier.
According to the source close to home minister, that the INDO-US homeland security dialogue will happen in the month of September.
The aim of visiting the US is to enhance the anti-terror ties, sharing of intelligence inputs and facilitating easy travel by each other’s citizens.
National Security Advisor Ajit KumarDoval also cut his visit in wake of kashmir violence and came back India a day ahead of PM Modi. He returned from Kenya on Monday.
