Some incidents followed this whole situation and some places were bad but they aren’t that bad as expected. You can say that this is the second shutdown in a week after the 24-hour Bharat bandh called by Left trade unions on April 2 crippled the state. Also, this isn’t good because it really affected the whole nation and that’s bad. The state-owned Road Transport Corporation, private bus operators, and traders body earlier announced that they would function normally.

Even though that this protest wasn’t that big but it really affected government and private vehicles in some places as they were blocked by the mob. Also, the state-owned buses ran its fleet with police protection and a state-owned bus was stoned in Kollam but overall, it was not that violent protest. The leader of Monday’s protest Geetanandan and his supporters were taken into custody in Kochi.

In a statement, Geetanandan said, “The report that we have got from across the state is that by and large, the protest appears to have become a success … There is no reason for taking us into custody.” The biggest thing which takes place during the protest that Teachers, who were to reach the camps for the evaluation of the Class 10 examinations paper in Kollam district, were held up after traffic was halted. Overall, in the end, we have seen that these types of protests will punish innocent people and that’s bad.
