Latest News! ISRO Successfully Launches RESOURCESAT-2A

The day December 7, 2016 will go in the India record as it is the massive day for the whole Indian and the whole 2.1 billions population as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) finally launched lunched RESOURCESAT-2A. According to the reports, the RESOURCESAT-2A was a remote sensing satellite and was launched its workhorse launch vehicle PSLV-C36 from its spaceport Satish Dhawan Space Centre.The RESOURCESAT-2A is 44.4 meters long and weighs around 321 tons. The launch of the big satellite was carried out around 10:25 am on December 7, 2016. Meanwhile, RESOURCESAT-2A was placed in the 827 km polar Sun Synchronous Orbit in about 18 minutes after lift off.

After the successful launch of the RESOURCESAT-2A, the ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar informed media wing that ” it is the proud moment for whole India and it could prove to be the milestone in India history.”

He further added that ” will give continuity to the country’s three-tier imaging data, which will be extremely useful for various applications
of water and land. Well, it looks like another feather has been now added to the India’s history and however, it is just a small success, but one should not forget that little success led to something big and maybe the day will come when India will be the leading one when it comes to space reserach and development.
