Every now and then we hear the news about Lenovo’s sub brand Zuk to launch the successor of their popular handset Zuk Z1 i.e Zuk Z2. There were many rumors surfaced around the handset but company has now officially declared that they will be launching their handset on 31st May. Initially the handset will be made available only in china and after that company can consider for its global roll out. In India Zuk Z1 was quite successful and hence we can anticipate that company will soon try to launch it in India as well.
Though CEO of ZUK, Mr chang Cheng has clarified that they will be using Samsung made Exynos 8890 chipset in their handset but recently released official trailer describe entirely different story. If that teaser is to taken seriously then we can expect to have Qualcomm as the chipset inside Zuk Z2. But since it is impossible for CEO of the company to deliver incorrect information so it can be a possibility that we will be having two variants of the same handset: one with Samsung’s Exynos 8890 chipset and other of Qualcomm snapdragon chipset.
Company has not yet cleared which Snapdragon chipset they are going to be incorporate but going by the company’s last decision to have snapdragon 820 processor in Zuk Z2 Pro, we can expect the same in Zuk Z2 as well. At this point of time we don’t have much information about the handset but speculations are going around the rumor mill that it is going to be the lower end version of Zuk Z2 Pro then if this is the case then Zuk Z2 might be focusing on mid range segment.
As we have mentioned above we don’t have much details regarding the specs of this handset so we have to wait for the time till the launch so that we can figure out the accurate specs of this handset and it will be worth waiting for this new handset as when we look at its predecessor i.e Zuk Z2 Pro we find different features like finger print scanner with heart rate sensors, quad core Qulcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.15GHz, 13MP rear camera with IsoCell sensors, PDAF technology, 4G connectivity along with USB Type C connectors etc it would be interesting to wait and see whether Zuk Z2 will also bear the similar features or not. One doesn’t has to wait long as on 31st May we will have every details and hence will update our readers.
