The notable and renowned South Korean Electronic company, LG has recently made an announcement that they are updating their premium TV series lineup which includes, this year’s G1 and C1 OLED TVs. The company has also revealed that they are planning on updating their latest OLED TV models with Dolby Vision HDR at gaming support of 4K 120Hz. Moreover, though the news is not confirmed yet, it has been said that along with the G1 & C1 models, the company might also update their previous year’s model, named, BX and CX too, thus, making it the first-ever TV manufacturing company to do so.
In addition, the company has reported that along with the Dolby Vision HDR, the updates will also come with firmware version 03.15.27, making the LG TV the first-ever TV to do so worldwide. Well, besides these lineups, the company has also made an announcement that they are also bringing their new premium models named, QNED Mini LED QNED99 series, QLED Z1 series, and NanoCell NANO99 series TVs with updates by the end of July 2021.
Moreover, LG has also said that right now, they are testing their 2020 and 2021 TV models for the Dolby Vision gaming in 60HZ as well as in 120HZ, without revealing the names. Although the company has not specifically pointed out a particular name, a report of Forbes definitely sheds light on the fact that the company will also be coming with the updated version of previous year’s GX and CX Tv series model as well.
Also, the reports have further clarified that the final updated version of the C1 and G1 OLED TV models shall be available online through OTA updates. In addition, it has been said that those who wish to get earlier access and hands-on experience to the updated version of the LG TVs can directly visit the LG’s local service centres and can request the Beta version. In addition to Dolby Vision HDR and firmware version 03.15.27, the updates will also include Game Optimizer under the Game Dashboard. Game Dashboard is a type of floating onscreen menu which is quite similar to HUD (Head-up display), found in several games.
In fact, Game Optimizer is quite useful, as it allows the gamers to quickly take a look at the TV’s settings and at the same time, also allows the gamers to switch between multiple genres including RPG, RTX or FPS and Standard, without disturbing the ongoing game. Thus, as of now, there no games that support Dolby Vision, however, it has been said that the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5 will get the same. Stay tuned with us, for more such news.
