Bikram Majithia defamation case: Today, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP Leader Sanjay Singh appeared in court in Armitsar, Punjab.
Lawyer HS Phoolka said that Arvind Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh have also been granted bail on bond of Rs 40,000.
The next hearing of this case is on 15th October, 2016.
On Friday, after granting the bail, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal dared Bikram Majithia who is Punjab Revenue Minister to arrest me in six months or we will arrest you.
Kejriwal along with party leader Sanjay Singh said Majithia had flourished his drug trade that had affected most houses in Punjab. Sanjay Singh also said earlier that lakhs of people of Punjab have repeatedly said that Majithia is a drug trafficker.
After this Majithia filed a case against CM Kejriwal and AAP leader Sanjay Singh under the Defamation charges in Amritsar Court, Punjab.
Volunteers of AAP were seen carrying banners and saying, Main ek var nahin hazaar var kahanga, Bikram Majithia chitte da taskar hai.”
Delhi CM Kejriwal said that if the Badal government could book the Delhi CM in a defamation case, how the common man was being harassed in Punjab, I can understand.
A large number of workers of SAD had already reached the court complex. The Punjab Police stopped the volunteers of AAP around 1 km away from the court.
