A massive fire has breaks out in a popular shopping complex in Noida on June 18, Friday. It has been reported that the Ganga Shopping Complex, situated in the Gautam Budh Nagar Sector 29, Noida has been blazing in fire since Friday afternoon. As soon as the locals reported the incident to the fire department, six fire engines have been straightaway rushed to the fire spot initially, in order to douse the fire immediately before it spreads out to the surrounding buildings. Many videos of this incident have also surfaced online on social media.
According to the reports, it is believed that the fire started at the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) corporate office located at the third floor of the complex. It was one of the popular shopping complexes and residential projects in Sector 29 in Noida. As the fire has just broken out, it would be too soon to figure out the reason for the incident. The officials will be investigating on the same as soon as fire at the site is under control.
It was Friday afternoon, when people at Noida’s Ganga Shopping Complex started rushing out of the building as soon as the fire broke out. Fortunately, all the people inside or nearby the building complex has been evacuated safely and no one was injured in the fire, as per to officials.
As per to Arun Kumar Singh, the Chief Fire Officer, the third floor of Ganga Shopping Complex, at which NMRC office was situated, caught into a fire around 1:30 PM. The fire started spreading in the complex, but as the fire department officials arrived on time and brought the fire under control, ensuring no causality or injury.
Ritu Maheshwari, who is the NMRC managing director, has stated that the fire was started because of an electrical short circuit at 1:15 PM. She also reported that there were no damage to any of their personnel and even the documents. A departmental investigation has been launched who will investigate this incident, she further added.
The Chief Fire Officer, Arun Kumar Singh, also further stated about the indecent revealing that total of 13 fire tenders was sent to the fire spot along with the local police. The fire officials immediately took precautionary steps due to which they were able to bring the blaze under control within only three hours.
He also revealed that there were about 60 to 70 people who were working on Friday afternoon and were present inside the complex when the fire broke out suddenly. Fortunately, all of the workers were immediately evacuated outside the building for ensuring their safety due to which no one was hurt or injured in this incident.
