Michael Clarke was confirmed as captain of the Melbourne Stars for the fifth edition of the KFC T20 Big Bash League, and says he’s confident he has the game to help bring a first BBL title to the MCG-based club. Clarke will make his Big Bash League debut in the second half of next season after completing duties as Australian Test captain in its home series against New Zealand.Clarke has not played a Twenty20 match since the 2012 Indian Premier League but has long been the Stars’ No. 1 target. Michael Clarke out to prove he can score big runs in Twenty20 after he’s been named as the Melbourne Stars captain for the next two seasons.
