A Noida based smartphone company the Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd Keeps its promise. On Friday the company shipped 2,240 Units of Freedom 251 smartphones at priced of Rs. 251 + 40 delivery charges to those who had booked the device in the cash on delivery(COD) mode in the month of February. The Company claimed that it has started delivery of the world’s cheapest smartphone in five states including Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Bihar.
Director of Ringing Bells Mohit Goel said that the delivery of Freedom 251 will be made only to first 5,000 customers who registered the handset on the first day of the registration. The customers will be charged extra Rs. 40 for delivery. Now the customers can get this phone at Rs. 291. He also said that after delivering first 5,000 units of Freedom 251 to the customers, we will be waiting for customer feedback.
Director Mohit Goel said that the company has started the delivery of 2,240 units of Freedom 251 today through distributors and couriers. Out of 2240 units of Freedom 251 includes 605 units in Himachal Pradesh, 390 units in Haryana, 540 units in West Bengal, 484 units in Bihar and 221 units in Uttarakhand.
Director also said that the company will initiate the delivery of 2,000 more smartphones. 364 units in Punjab, 223 units for Delhi consumers, 225 units for Jharkhand, 108 units for Jammu and Kashmir, 521 units for Maharashtra, 194 units for Madhya Pradesh and 365 units for Rajasthan. The remaining 760 Smartphones out of 2000 units left deliver to Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The cities of UP in which the Freedom 251 will be delivered named as Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut.
The Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd recovered Rs. 700-800 from app developers and revenue generated through ads on Freedom 251 website. After selling the device for Rs 251. the loss per phone for the company is expected to be in the range of Rs 180-270.
