Finally, after huge anticipation we got our new Mr. Olympia 2019 and it was really a long winding road to get here with lots of amazing bodybuilders.

With no recurring champions in the form of Shawn Rhoden as well as Phil Heath taking at least a year off before making an attempt to retrieve his thrown and due to which this year’s Men’s Open Olympia was open to a new champion.

Mr. Olympia is the prestigious title that has been awarded to the winner of the professional men’s bodybuilding competition held at Joe Weider’s Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend. It is an international bodybuilding competition that is conducted every year by the International Federation of BodyBuilding & Fitness (IFBB).

Joe Weider created the competition in order to enable the Mr. Universe winners to carry on competing and also to earn more money. The first ever Mr. Olympia was held on September 18, 1965, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York City, where Larry Scott won his first of two straight titles.
