Naidu: Rahul Gandhi-led meeting a fake attempt for unity against Demonetisation

Union Minister and Senior BJP leader – M Venkaiah Naidu has dismissed the Congress-led meet of eight parties against demonetisation, as a fake attempt for unity. He said that it would never succeed.

On the sidelines of a function in Chennai, Naidu told reporters that this is a fake attempt for unity and it will never succeed. No wise party can join hands with Congress. If some political party are doing it, they are doing so at their own peril.

TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee and Congress vice-President Rahul Gandhi along with some regional parties at a meeting in Delhi sought to put up a united face raising the pitch against demonetisation and  will demand resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Mr Naidu, taking a dig at Mr Rahul Gandhi, claimed that he has failed to bring unity in his own party. The strength of Congress in Lok Sabha has declined to 44 from 444 seats.

During the congress rule, there were many scams and corruption cases. Union minister Naidu claimed that Opposition parties had to protest against corruption of the government. But now, the government is fighting against corruption and the opposition is fighting against the government.

After the demonetisation, the head of some political party is in panic such as TMC Chief Mamta Banerjee, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav  and many more.
