Sources are saying that the video streaming company Netflix has withdrawn the support from Apple’s AirPlay. Some of you might know that Airplay is a support system which used to avail the Netflix streaming on iPads and iPhones.
Netflix confirms it killed AirPlay support, won’t let you beam shows to Apple TVs anymore
You might know that it is a shock for the users who used to stream Netflix on their iPad and iPhones. It is a shock because as Netflix for iOS had been supporting AirPlay since 2013. This news came to light because last month Apple has announced that they are going to launch the streaming app Apple TV+ and we think that they want to avoid the Netflix streaming on iOs.
Overall, the reports are also coming that Netflix has denied the way the news is coming out. Also, Netflix said that they aren’t dropping the support because Apple emerging as one of its competitors in the streaming space. You all should know that Apple is working on their streaming app.
Netflix said, “Airplay is no longer supported for use with Netflix due to technical limitations”. The external cable is the only way to connect Netflix for iOS to a TV. Also, the company added, “We want to make sure our members have a great Netflix experience on any device they use. With AirPlay support rolling out to third-party devices, there isn’t a way for us to distinguish between devices (what is an Apple TV versus what isn’t) or certify these experiences”.
