Next-gen Microsoft Surface Headphones Release Date Specification Features Images

While Microsoft is stressing on creating the software these days, which can possibly deliver all the necessary access to applications for the people working from home, this didn’t stop it from creating new devices on the hardware front. The company’s latest rumoured Surface headphones have been seen in a Bluetooth SIG listings and it is obvious that they are said to be an improvement over its predecessor.

Next-gen Microsoft Surface Headphones Release Date

The listing is giving us many specifications of the phone. The first and the foremost is that the headphone is equipped with Bluetooth V5.0 and the second is that the battery of the headphone will stay up to 20 hours on a single charge. The Qualcomm’s aptX HD audio codec in incorporated in the headphones for high-res audio streaming and the headphones also has IMU sensors which will help for better head detection/tracking, although the purpose of this feature is not clear yet.

To all the people who don’t know what a IMU is, let us see what it actually means. An IMU or Intertial Measurement Unit is a device which use accelerometer, gyroscopes or magnetometers to find out the head orientation. Although, we don’t know yet, why it is being used or what purpose it serves but we can assume that it can be used for hearing more immense live music.

In the SIG filling, Microsoft reveals some of the features of the headphones and said the headphones will have the following features “Dial buttons adjust the levels of Noise cancellation to three settings and tap hold of the dial will launch VA without ever taking out your phone.” Here, VA probably means voice assistant, which will likely be Cortana.

The ultimate question which lies is that when will this headphone be released and how much will it cost to our pockets? For now, there is no clue for how much it is going to cost or even no proof of the existence of the Surface headphones, so the details are quite sacred now. However, we may see it arriving it sometime in the fourth quarter of this year along with many other hardware products by Microsoft.

For now we can update you with the details that the Redmond-based tech firm has its Build developer’s conference on May 19. So we can only wish and hope that Microsoft too will drop some hints during the conference. We obviously are way too excited for all the new products Microsoft is going to launch on the hardware side.
