Panasonic has introduced two new handsets which are made for rugged use at MWC Barcelona today. Company has announced these handsets with the name Toughpad FZ-F1 and Toughpad FZ-F1. Talking about Panasonic ToughPad FZ-N1 then it will be launched in the month of March at the price of $1,499 or INR 1,03,000 approximately and it is going to be a Wifi model while its voice call variant will be made available in summers. Panasonix FZ-F1 is going to be a window based smart phone which will be present at the tag of $ 1,599 or INR 1,10,000 and will be available by the second half of this year.

These handsets will be exclusively made accessible through authorized Panasonic handheld sellers and along with the handsets one will also get the three year manufacturer’s warranty. Panasonic touts these Toughpad as the tablets but we will consider them as smart phones only because of their display size.
Both the handsets sport4.7” HD Display delivering screen resolution up to 720X1280p.
It is powered by quad core processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz. The processor is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and also encompasses Adreno 330 GPU. The processor here is combined with 2GB of RAM.
Both the handsets feature bar code reader which is provided at some angle so that one can read the bar codes of anything easily. The bard code activation buttons are present on either side of the handsets so that both left-handed and right-handed person can easily use them. Other highlighting features of these handsets are the touch display which can work even while wearing the gloves.
Apart from glove enabled the handset is sun light adaptive as well and one also gets rain sensing feature. To test its rain sensing feature, company took a tumble test from 1 meter and both the handsets cleared the test. It is touted that both handsets feature drop rating of 1.8m.
Both the handsets are water proof and can withstand the water level of 1m for about 30 minutes. Both the handsets fulfill IP65 and IP67 certification requirement. Both handsets bear 16GB of storage on board which is further expandable up to 64GB with the help of Micro SD card slot. As we have mentioned above FZ F1 is a windows phone operating on Windows 10 IoT while FZ N1runs on android 5.1.1 Lolipop Operating system.
Both are dual SIM smart phones encompassing connectivity options like Bluetooth V4.1, GPS, NFC etc. There is 8MP of shooter mounted at the rear with LED Flash and 5MP of camera is present at the front to click selfies. Both the handsets house 3200mAh battery while there is alternative 6200mAh battery is also offered by the company to have longer battery life.
