The New York Mets first baseman named Pete Alonso expressed his thankfulness to be alive after he stated that he survived a rollover vehicle accident in Tampa which is in Florida, on the mid-noon of Sunday.
The first baseman named Pete Alonso’s wife Haley Alonso stated in a statement that she was driving behind the Mets first baseman and she saw and witnessed the crash that flipped his car three times in the mid-noon of Sunday while on the way to spring training. After the accident and incident, she posted on her official Instagram handle about the accident that she thought she watched her husband die in front of her and she will never forget that feeling and she posted this on Monday along with a few photos and videos that showed the aftermath of the horrifying accident.

Talking about the whole accident, then Alonso stated to the press on the mid-noon of Monday that he was driving his pickup to Mets camp which is in Port St. Lucie when he was hit by a different driver who ran a red light and stated that he was uninjured after his Ford pickup truck flipped over around three times. Speaking about who was Pete Alonso he is the one who set the major league home run record for rookies in the year 2019.
In addition to this, he stated that his wife named Haley Alonso was following him in another vehicle when the crash occurred and then on the mid-noon of Monday, the wife of Pete Alonso shared the photo of the car crash on her official Instagram handle. The Tampa Police Department stated to the press that the crash happened just before 6:30 PM and confirmed that another driver hit Alonso’s truck after running a red light.
In an official statement, the Public Information Officer named Jamel Lanee stated that there were only minor injuries reported and the other driver was issued a citation.
