A 16-year-old boy has been creating a lot of buzz over social media after capturing one of the clearest pictures of the moon. Prathamesh Jaju, from Pune, India has bagged a big achievement and in order to get the clearest pictures of the moon he has shot 50,000 pictures and stitched them together for getting the final sharpest image.
All these individual 50,000 shots of the moon have occupied about 186 GB of processed data and in order to stich them altogether, it took him about 40 hours for processing all those photos and videos of the moon.
According to an interview with ANI, the 16-year-old stated that he captured all those 50,000 pictures of the moon on 3rd May at 1:00 AM. This took him four hours to get perfect images and videos. Because the number of pictures were 50,000 it took him around 38 to 40 hours for processing the images so that he can get a clear picture of the moon.
He further stated that he stitched the pictures together in order to get a clear picture and then sharpened the image for checking the “crisp details” of the moon. Initially, the data was 100 GB before professing, however, it turns bigger after processing the images and the data was around 186 GB. Finally, when he stitched the pictures altogether, the final file turns into around 600 MB.
ANI also asked him about the source of his idea behind this, on which the teenager replied that he learned processing from reading some articles and also took some help from the YouTube videos. From this he got inspired and tried this idea to do such an accomplishing thing.
The teenager also shared his future dream while saying that he professionally wants to study astronomy to become astrophysicist. However, right now it is just a hobby for him, Jaju said.
Talking about Prathamesh Jaju’s personal and academic life, he is currently studying in Vidya Bhavan School, in Pune and is a Class 10th student. His father is in the business of computer sales and repairing and his mother is a housewife and they all live together in Pune. Jaju has a great passion for photography, however he also likes sports as well.
His passion for photography can be seen with his latest biggest achievement for capturing one of the clearest pictures of the moon. On the other hand, his love for sports and athletics can also be seen from his participation in a national competition.
He is also active on social media where he is getting applause from many people and followers on his recent accomplishment. On Instagram, he has more than 26,500 followers which are now increasing even more. He has also shared the pictures of the moon on Instagram and so far it has gained more than 11,000 likes.
