On Monday, on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, President of India Pranab Mukherjee will teach students of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, President’s Estate.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Pranab will also interact with teachers from various Delhi Government’s schools. At least 80 students of Classes XI and XII of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya will attend the class of President.
The entire event will be aired live on DD Bharati and DD (News) Channels of Doordarshan today from 10:30 am onwards. It will also be webcast live on the President of India website at webcast.gov.in/president/ and live-streamed on the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s YouTube Channel.
President Pranab Mukherjee will further receive the first copy of a booklet “Umang 2015”. This booklet will be released by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
The President was a college teacher and a journalist before he joined politics in the year 1969. The President Pranab Mukherjee held a joint class for the students of the same school last year too. The students assembled on the ‘knowledge floor’ to listen to their new teacher. The idea was mooted by Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia.
