While the prices of Jio’s prepaid plans are on the lower side as compared to Airtel and Vodafone, on the other hand, the two telecom giants have almost similar prepaid plans for their users. The Reliance-owned brand, Jio has two very convenient data packs with great calling benefits. First is the Rs 129 monthly plan that comes with a total of 2GB internet data and unlimited calling benefits to all networks with a validity of 28 days. While another is the yearly plan priced at Rs 1299 offers a total of 24GB data with a validity of 365 days. However, it is to be noted that these plans are good if you only want to make calls from your phone.
Vodafone also has similar plans priced at Rs 129 and Rs 1499. Vodafone’s monthly plan costs Rs 129 and it offers a total of 2GB data, unlimited calling benefits with a validity of 24 days. The annual plan costs Rs 1499 which offers a total of 24GB data, unlimited calls and a free subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play apps with a validity of 365 days.
On the other hand, Airtel has a variety of plans in this particular segment. It has Rs 149, Rs 179 and Rs 1498 plans that focus only on providing calling benefits. The monthly plan costing Rs 149 offers a total of 2GB data, 300 SMSes and unlimited calling benefits to all networks. The Rs 179 plan offers the same benefits but provides an additional benefit of life insurance cover of Rs 2 Lakhs from Bharti Axa Life Insurance. On the other hand, Airtel’s annual plan costs Rs 1498 that offers a total of 24GB data, 3600 SMS and unlimited calling benefits with a validity of 365 days.
