Roads to Kedarnath Temple Closed due Cloudburst and Heavy Rain

Yesterday Uttarakhand has faced a glimpse of what it saw a few years ago. Cloudburst in the Ghansali area of district Tehri.
There were reports of damaging of few buildings and schools.

This cloudburst has left few houses and school buildings damage.The rain has also caused few landslides which result in
the blockage of the roads to Kedar Nath Temple. This blockage may cause a lot of problems for the peoples in Kedar bath .

A red alert has already been made , people are advised to go to the safe places. The electricity supply has also been disrupted
as many poles were damaged. Trees were also been down on roads thus causing blocking in various parts of the Uttarakhand.

The Warnings were made on Saturday for the heavy rain and thunderstorms. Earlier there were no reports of casualties but later a report came of a teenager named “Vipul”who was killed mainly due to the cloudburst. His body was found under a huge mud which was caused because of the landslide in Sarna Randal village.

The local police forces are trying to clear the blockage caused by the landslide, various operations are underway to found
the other casualties. In an interview, Ahmed Iqbal had mentioned that”Vinod Kumar who is the Ghansali SDM has been sent to investigate the situation the affected area along with police personnel”.

According to the sources,cloudbursts took place over Kothiara village at about 3 pm on Saturday bringing around 50 residential houses down and about 100 animals were also buried alive.

There were allegations made that the intensity of rainfall and thunderstorm will more severely increase within next two days mainly on the Sunday and Monday.
People of Uttarakhand are advised to take corrective measures for next two days.
