Due to the Wuhuan virus pandemic, the State Bank of India has postponed the exams of SBI Clerks, till further orders. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted in the month of June this year, however, looking at the current scenario, the conducting body has decided to put a halt to the examination for the time being. SBI released 5,000 posts for the post of Junior Associates at various locations in India. Due to the ongoing virus, the government of India has imposed a lockdown, keeping in mind the safety of the citizens.
The examination of the SBI Clerk will take place in two phases. The first phase is the preliminary examination while the second phase is the mains examination. The exam of SBI Clerk Prelims was supposed to be held in June 2021 in the online mode. The aspirants who will clear the Prelims examinations will be called further for the mains examination. This time, there will be no sectional cut-off and therefore, the candidates are required to only obtain the overall minimum cut-off scores in order to appear for the main exams.
The pattern of SBI Clerk Prelims Examination 2021 will remain the same meaning that, just like the previous year, this year also, there will be three sections in the Preliminary exams named, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The exam will consist of 100 MCQ questions and each question carries 1 mark each. The English language section will consist of 30 questions each carrying 1 mark each.
While the Numerical Ability and Reasoning ability section will consist of 35 questions each and will carry 1 mark each. The total time duration of the examination is 60 minutes. Only those candidates who will qualify in the preliminary examination by securing the minimum cut-off scores will be allowed to appear in the SBI Clerk’s main examination. Unlike, the SBI PO, the SBI Clerk examination does not contain an interview round and thus, the candidates will be selected solely on the basis of the marks obtained in the Pre and Mains examination.
The selected candidates will be given a remuneration of Rs. 17,900 to Rs. 47,920 whereas the basic way will be Rs.19,900. However, looking at the current scenario, the examination of Preliminary examination has been put on a halt till further orders. The candidates have enough time to prepare for the preliminary and main examination and therefore, they must utilize this time, to brush up their strong points and work hard on their weak points in the examination.
