Send AAP MP Bhagwant Mann to rehab centre for drug & alcohol deaddiction

New Delhi: A group of Members of Parliament have written a letter to the speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan requesting that AAP MP from Punjab Bhagwant Mann should be sent to a rehab centre for drug and alcohol de-addiction.

The group including BJP’s Maheish Girri, suspended AAP MP Harinder Singh Khalsa and Akali Dal’s Prem Singh Chandumajra wrote that Would be grateful that Bhagwant Mann be sent on a Rehab centre for drugs/alcohol de-addiction by the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Lok Sabha expenditure.
The MPs wrote in his letter that Only after that Bhagwant Mann should be allowed to attend the proceedings of the house.

The move by MPs came even as reports said that Members of the 9-member panel who are probing Bhagwant Mann’s Parliament video case are upset with Mann for not taking the enquiry seriously.

According to the ANI quoted sources that there is unanimity in the committee that action must be taken against AAP MP Bhagwant Mann.

Accorind to the sources that Difference of opinion in committee is on the degree of punishment-reprimand or reprimand with debarring from Parliament session for the specific time.

The ‘rehab center’ demand came after many MPs, including former CM of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh, came out in the public alleging that Bhagwant Mann comes drunk to the Parliament of India.
