Nine people taken in to bar on the last Monday for allegedly running a sex racket at a mall in Gurgaon, police stated and the news goes viral. The Gurgaon Police PRO, Ravinder Kumar told to the state police for received a tip-off that a sex racket was being run at the Omex Mall at Sector 50 under the disguise of a spa center. “A team was made and a decoy customer was sent to Oyster Spa centre. A raid was later conducted and nine persons, including six women, were arrested,” he stated.
Though officers are yet to arrest the spa centre owner, the police said and added further.
Throwing light on the entire news is that, as per the police, a raid was conducted by a team headed by inspector Bijender Kumar, SHO, Sector 9A police station, around 8 pm on the last Friday. “We sent a sub-inspector as a decoy customer to the house. He met with a woman there and finalized a deal and gave her some signed notes. After receiving a signal from the sub-inspector, we raided the house and arrested the six women,” told by the SHO.
Police stated that the foremost accused is a 37-year-old woman, she is a resident of Pinagawa in Mewat. The other women are aged between 20 and 35 years.
“We conducted the raid following complaints from residents of the sector who live close to the house the accused were operating their sex racket from. The accused have been sent to jail and we have informed the house owner,” said sub-inspector Ghanshyam, one of the main investigating officers.
This arrest came in limelight post, after an FIR under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was registered against all 9 accused reportedly.
They were all produced in a city court and then sent to the judicial custody on the last Saturday.
