Shakib Al Hasan, who is the top all-rounder of Bangladesh’s cricket team, is now being kept away from practice in advance of the team’s high-profile India tour on the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) instructions. As per to the local media reports, it claims that the all-rounder is set to be banned for not reporting a corrupt approach.

Reportedly, he might possibly be banned for 18 months by the ICC, compounding the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) issues that have been held ahead of the tour of India. The rubber, including total of three T20 Internationals and two Tests, which are all set to November 3.

The ICC has also avoided making any comment regarding the matter at this stage. As per to the daily, two years ago Shakib got an offer from a bookie before an international match, which he did not report to the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU).
The local newspaper also added that Shakib has also recently confessed about it to the ACSU’s investigating officers.
In the meantime, there has been doubt over Shakib’s availability for the India assignments after he missed the pre-tour camp, comprising a practice game which was held in Mirpur.
The squad on the other hand is all set to leave for the neighbouring country on Wednesday as well as Shakib is not going to be a part of the touring party.
