Sikkim TET 2020 Exam Postponed again due to Coronavirus Outbreak, New dates To be Released Soon

Sikkim Human Resource Development Department has once again postponed the Sikkim TET 2020 exam. The offline examination for Sikkim TET that was scheduled to be held on April 11, 2020, has been postponed due to the lockdown of all states for preventing the spread of COVID -19. The official notice regarding the same has been released at the official website of the Sikkim HRD Department i.e. sikkimhrdd.org. The new dates haven’t yet been revealed, however, it is expected to be announced soon at sikkimhrdd.org.

Sikkim TET 2020 Exam Postponed again due to Coronavirus

Earlier, the Teacher Eligibility Test was postponed that was scheduled to be conducted on December 14, 2019, due to unknown reasons. The admit card for the same was released in December for all the appearing candidates.

The Sikkim TET exam is conducted to select Teachers for primary and elementary level. The examination consists of 150 objective type questions with a duration of 2.30 hours. The sections included in the question paper I, are Child development and pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies, while the paper II includes Child development and pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies.

COVID19 outbreak in India has resulted in a loss of 24 people till now. The total number of people affected by the novel coronavirus is 1024 while 85 has been recovered so far. In view of the increasing cases, PM Modi has announced a complete lockdown across the nation for 21 days, i.e., till April 14, 2020. Various state-level board exams, recruitment exams, university-level exams, and entrance exams have been postponed across the country due to the coronavirus outbreak and national lockdown.
