In the month of August 2020, the 62-year-old went out for a ride along with his son to attempt his new e-bike. Although, he lost command of the bike and was involved in a serious accident in which numerous bones in his back were broken. The motorcycle was sent from London to the X-Factor judge’s Malibu residence. He and his son, Eric, were both traumatised by the occurrence because he was present with him at the time. Simon broke “his back in multiple places,” as per the statement of the LA Times, and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Simon Cowell dreaded one thing after the happening and not being able to walk again. After the accident, which left him bed-bound for a month, Simon told The Sun that he “felt quite miserable.” He did, however, discuss missing events with his son. “I couldn’t do all I wanted with him,” he explained. “I didn’t know if I’d ever be able to walk again, let alone play football with him.” That was the lowest period in my life.
