Pakistan Blind Cricket Team cruised into the final of the T20 Asia Cup Cricket of the Blind as they defeated Sri Lanka by 90 runs at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi, India on Thursday.
Bangladest posted 134 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Mohsin Hussain (43) was the top scorer. Khorshid made 36. Haroon Khan, Zeeshan Abbasi, Sajid Nawaz and Israr Hassan took one wicket each.
India Beat Pakistan By 44 Runs
Blue Shirts became first champion of blind T20 Asia Cup, India while batting first put 209 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their quota 20 overs.
Pakistan in reply fall short of the target and got all out on 168 runs.
Earlier Pakistan beat India in the group stage match by 19 runs.
“We have finally qualified for the final of the first Asia Cup which is a great achievement for the entire team,” Pakistan Blind Cricket Team captain Anees Javed had said. “This match was not a difficult one but I am glad that the whole team put their efforts together in this win.”
In the final, though, the Indian team came out on top to claim the championship in the first Blind T20 Asia Cup.
Pakistan, with their third consecutive win, are sitting at the top of the league table with six points, while India and Sri Lanka, who have four points each, lie second and third respectively.
Pakistani bowlers kept the things tight and fielders also responded well and curtailed India to 172-6 in allotted quota of 20 overs. Anees Javed picked two wickets while Israr Hassan claimed one. Badar Munir received Man of the Match award.

Badar Munir dominated Indian bowling and got out after scoring 58 runs off only 32 balls with the help of nine boundaries. Nisar Ali also batted well scoring 56 runs off 48 balls. Pakistan posted 192 runs for the loss of nine wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
In another match of the tournament, Sri Lanka beat Nepal by 137 runs.
Pakistan will face Sri Lanka while Bangladesh will take on Nepal on Thursday.
