The biggest automobile manufacturing company, “Tata Motors” has finally launched their brand new model named, “TATA Tigor EV 2021” in the Indian market and at the same time has revealed the starting price as well as the other specifications of the car including the various trims and two color options variants. The company has this time came up with an entirely new look compared to their already released outgoing model, meanwhile, in terms of safety, this new model of TATA motors has earned a rating of 4 stars. As per the company, the target customers of the updated version of Tigor Ev, which is “Tigor EV 2021” are buyers who are looking for a battery-powered passenger car at an affordable price. One of the main key highlights of this new car is that it is evaluated by Global NCAP and has garnered a 4-star safety rating. The new Tigor is available in three trim, the first one being the “XE”, the ex-showroom price of which is reported to be Rs. 11.99 lakh. The second one is “XM”, the starting price of which is Rs. 12.49 lakh, while the third one is “XZ+”, the ex-showroom price of which is stated to be Rs. 12.99 lakh.

Moreover, if the customer opts for the dual-tone option in the XZ+ trim model of Tigor EV, then the same will be available at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 13.14 lakh. The booking of the “Tigor EV 2021” had already been opened earlier this month in August at Rs. 21,000. Shailesh Chandra, President of the Passenger vehicle business unit of Tata Motors stated, “We are overjoyed to launch the Tigor EV today, powered by the competent Ziptron Technology.”

According to him, this car is absolutely perfect for those who are looking forward to a sedan that comes with advanced technology, is comfortable, and at the same time fulfills the safety standards. The company claims that the new “Tigor EV 2021” can effectively run for 306 kilometers prior to needing a charge and is ARAI certified. The new Sedan of TATA motors can be charged at the various fast-charging network points and also from a home socket of 15A.

The only difference is that, if you charge the car using the fast-charging network point, it will take 1 hour for the battery to charge to 80%, while if you are using a home socket, then the same will take approximately 8 hours. The updated version of Tigor Ev consists of a lithium-ion battery pack of 26kWh that gives a horsepower of 73.75 hp and a peak torque of 170Nm.
