Texas: Shootout at Tech University, Accused died and one officer killed!

Well, the very sad news is coming out from the campus o Texas Tech University where an accused started firing and killed one officer. As per the reports, Texas on October 10 the tech university was on lockdown after a shooting and firing was reported at the university and police divisions are investigating the case. Reports are saying that the shooting incident occurred at 8:23 p.m, according to local time. Students, faculty, and staff of Texas Tech University were asked to take shelter.

Also, the reports are coming that the shooter, who was identified as 19-year-old Hollis A. Daniels was apprehended after he killed an officer. Even, the sources are saying that he was brought at Texas Tech University’s police department for a welfare check when he pulled a gun, killed the officer and fled. Also, the police are trying to investigate the whole case and they aren’t saying anything till now.

“A shooting has been reported at TTU Police Department. The shooter is at large. The campus is on lockdown. Take shelter,” tweeted Texas Tech University. “Emergency update. The current situation is ongoing. Continue to shelter in place. More info as it is available,” it said a few minutes later.

“ALL-CLEAR: The suspect has been apprehended. Lockdown lifted on campus. Avoid TTUPD, north side of campus,” TTU tweeted later. According to news portal KCBD, a Texas Tech police officer was shot and killed at Texas Tech Police Headquarters in the shooting.

Even, the Building of Texas Tech University’s police department is located on the north side of the campus and it is wide open till 400 blocks of Flint Avenue. It is shocking that this incident took place days after a mass shooting in Las Vegas where a gunman, Stephen Paddock, fired at the crowd and killed 58 people more than 500 injured.
