Financier from Mysuru abducted
Earlier on September 25, the Bagalur police had recovered the body of a man. The injuries on his body looked as if the victim was apparently murdered by miscreants.
After recovering the body, the Bagalur police conducted a search to identify the victim, which led them to Mysuru in neighbouring Karnataka, where a missing complaint against a man had already been registered by the relatives of the victim identified as Gowthaman, aged 24.
Reportedly, Gowthaman, the dweller of the Siddappa circle in Mysuru was a lab technician by profession and had also done some money lending business at his place.
According to the reports, he was kidnapped by his friends over a money issue and taken to a place in Bagalur police limits which is 200-km from his home town. Later he was killed by his abductors.
As the investigation reports, Gowthaman gave a loan of Rs 50,000 to his friend Arun aged 24 that led to a fight between them. The victim demanded to repay the loan amount with interest accumulating to Rs 2.5 lakh, while Arun was unable to repay the amount.
The police further added that Arun is suspected to have hatched a murder plan with two other Manjunath, aged 25 and Ravikumar, aged 22. The trio under the pretext of repaying the amount took the victim to Bagalur in a car and later, allegedly murdered the financier.
Meanwhile, the Bagalur police have taken custody of alleged murderers and the detailed probe is being conducted in the case.
