Three-year-old girl dies after falling in pot of hot sugar syrup in Nashik

A 3-year-old girl died after falling into a cauldron of hot sugar syrup in Nashik, Maharashtra, the police told on Monday.

The girl’s family members were in the catering business, had boiled the sugar syrup in a big aluminum pot in order to make gulab jamuns as per an order at their residence in the Panchavati area of Nashik on the last Sunday.

The minor, identified as Swara Pravin Shirode, was playing at that time but she accidentally fell into the cauldron and sustained severe burns, the reports, said the same at Panchavati police station.

The family members rushed the girl to a private hospital where doctors declared that she already dies.

But the angry relatives of the girl allegedly ransacked and condemned the hospital reportedly and alleged that the child died due to negligence in treatment, the official further added.

A case was registered in connection with the incident, he added also.
