Tinder, the ultimate millennial app which has helped youth a lot to know people has decided to add yet another cool feature in the app. Well, the app is definitely cool enough when we look at its UI and working, but the more the merrier. So the makers have decided to add the one-on-one video chat feature in this location-based app later this year.
Match Group, who are the owners of Tinder, Hinge, and OkCupid say that the people can now video chat through the Tinder app.
“Social distancing has required adaptations and pivots and has impacted our business because the manner in which singles engage with our products and start relationships has quickly evolved. We know that singles are adjusting their behaviors, and many are shifting to having dates virtually via phone or video,” the company said in a statement.
The company released some data which says that in April all the female users who are under the age of 30 on Tinder have swiped 37% more when the data was compared to February.
Female usage and engagement is a key driver for a dating product’s success and we are constantly trying to improve these metrics,” the company added.
Tinder earlier made out the statement that it is going to roll out the photo verification feature on the app, this verification will ensure that every person on the app is that who they say they are.
This feature lets people take and upload their real-time posed selfies and that’s how the authentication takes place, these selfies are compared to already uploaded profile photo using the human-assisted AI technology.
All the accounts which have been verified will display a blue checkmark so other members can see the authenticity of the account.
The feature is currently under the testing phase and is available only in certain markets and will continue to spread and will be available widely in 2020.
The video calling feature will certainly be a cherry on the top in the app. Well, if you think that the app needs to have some necessary features which are missing then you comment below and you can share your views with us.
