in a shooting incident outside a restaurant in Danforth and Logan Aves in Toronto, Canada, A woman was killed and 13 others were injured. Toronto Police confirmed, The shooter, is dead.
It is unclear whether the suspect shot himself or he has been kiiled by the cop. Mark Pugash, the Toronto Police spokesman, said it’s too early to say whether the shooting is linked to terrorism or not.
The victims have been taken to the several hospitals, American news network CNN reported the same. Toronto Police chief Mark Saunders told reporters, A young girl injured in the shooting is in critical condition now.
Toronto Star, quoting eyewitnesses, described a man dressed in black firing somewhere between 15 and 20 shots.
Entry and exit points to the shooting spot have been cordoned off because the emergency crews respond to the situation. The police has appealed to witnesses in the area to come forward which is to assist in investigations.
Ontario premier Doug Ford said his heart goes out to the victims of the “horrific act of gun violence”.
“My heart goes out to the victims and loved ones of the horrific act of gun violence in Toronto. Thank you to all the first responders for acting quickly to help everyone affected,” he further tweeted.
