The most awaited 2021 UEFA European Championship is all set to commence from this month and the fans can’t wait to see their favourite men’s football teams to participate in this prominent competition. The upcoming Euro 2020 is the 16th edition of this European quadrennial international football championship (Men’s) which is organised by the UEFA.
As the tournament was postponed in 2020 due to pandemic, the Euro 2020 is now all set to be hosted this year in several Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) countries. 2020 UEFA European Championship: Teams & Groups
The 2020 UEFA European Championship is going to host total number of 24 football clubs in this upcoming tournament. These total of 24 teams are further divided into six groups who will first have the competition in group stage before moving to the knock-out stage. Here are the names of all the 24 teams along with their groups.

2020 UEFA European Championship: Important Dates & Details
The UEFA Euro 2020 was initially planned to be hosted from 12th June 2020 and was scheduled to conclude on 12th July 2020, but as we know due to pandemic many sports events were cancelled or postponed last year. Just like other big or small tournaments, the 2020 UEFA European Championship was also postponed for this year and now it will commence from 11th June 2021, Friday. The tournament is also going to finish after one month, i.e. on 11th July 2021, Sunday.
In addition to that, the UEFA Euro 2020 is going to be hosted in the total of 11 cities of the 11 UEFA countries and is going to retain its previous edition name i.e. “2020 UEFA European Championship”. For this edition, Portugal are the defending champions who have earlier won the tournament in the year 2016. Also, a new system will be launched this year in the UEFA Euro 2020 and that is video assistant referee (VAR), making its inauguration at the European Championship in the competition in 2021.
