UPPSC Computer Assistant Exam 2020 postponed due to coronavirus outbreak

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the written examination for the post of Computer Assistant. The examination was scheduled to be held on 5th April 2020. However, in view of the 21 days’ lockdown that took place across the country to prevent the infection of the coronavirus, the exam has been postponed. The notice informing this was updated on the UPPSC official website on 25 March 2020.

Apart from this, the last date to submit the hard copy of the application form, which was earlier scheduled as of March 26, 2020, till 5:00 PM, has also been extended. Candidates can now submit the application form by April 19, 2020.

The notice reads, “The candidates declared successful for the Main Examination-2019, a hard copy of the online filled form with all the attachments, which was to be submitted to the Commission by March 26, 2020, till 5:00 PM, Ensure that the same is received in the Commission’s office by April 19, 2020, one day before the date of starting the main examination.”

 

This is the second examination of the commission to be postponed due to Corona. Earlier on 22 March, the proposed Block Education Officer Recruitment Examination was also postponed due to this and the new date of the examination will be announced later.

The Commission started the process on 15 November to fill 14 vacant posts of Computer Assistants in the Public Service Commission. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official UPPSC website for further updates.
